Strengths

  • + 180/175mm travel with 63.5° head angle for maximum descending confidence
  • + 800Wh battery enables massive days — 85km/1,900m elevation claimed
  • + Mullet setup (29/27.5) provides stability up front with playful rear agility
  • + Canyon D2C pricing: carbon enduro eMTB at an incredible value
  • + New Darfon IP7 waterproof battery addresses recall concerns
  • + 77.5° seat angle aids climbing efficiency despite aggressive geometry

Weaknesses

  • Shimano EP600 is critically underpowered for a demanding enduro bike
  • ~24kg makes it ponderous on flat terrain and above assist cutoff
  • Battery recall history (same platform as Spectral:ON)
  • Struggles on tight technical climbs due to weight and long wheelbase
  • EP600's slow response is particularly painful on steep enduro climbs
  • RockShox ZEB base fork lacks adjustability for serious enduro use
  • Overkill for most riders — requires demanding terrain to justify

Motor: The EP600 is a poor match for an enduro platform. On 180mm enduro bikes, riders need instant powerful motor response for steep technical climbs. The EP600's slower response and reduced power vs EP801 is especially noticeable here. This is a bike that deserves a better motor.
